The Ed Kennedy for Lowell City Council Campaign filed more than 500 signatures at the Lowell Election Commission Office this morning - more than ten times the amount required.

Qualifications
Ed Kennedy served as a City Councilor for four terms from 1978 to 1985. During that time, Ed served one term as vice-mayor and also represented Lowell on the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments and the Middlesex County Advisory Board.
Ed Kennedy holds a masters degree in public administration from Framingham State University.
Ed Kennedy served two years as chairman of the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments.
Ed Kennedy is a life-long resident of Lowell and has been a homeowner in Lowell since 1978.

Edward J. Kennedy announced today that he is a candidate for the Lowell City Council. Kennedy, 60, holds a masters degree in public administration and previously served on the Lowell City Council for four terms from 1978 to 1985. During that time, he served for one term as vice mayor and represented Lowell on the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments and the Middlesex County Advisory Board.
